The European Space Agency‘s (ESA) office network is looking for investment opportunities in Hungary for entrepreneurs in the market of space technology transferred to the ground. Sagax Communications is one of the winner corporations getting subsidization for applying space technology to other fields on ground.
On 2nd July, 2018 the European Space Agency opened its new business incubator house in Csillebérc, Hungary in cooperation with the Hungarian Academy of Sciences’ Wigner Research Centre for Physics. ESA’s mission is „to shape the development of Europe’s space capability and ensure that investment in space continues to deliver benefits to the citizens of Europe and the world”. The new project aims to support European companies in research and to develop innovative products and services, and thereby promote the application of space technology.
In these days, one of the top fields of national and continental security is border control. Using technologies like radio survalliance, drone detection and reconnaissance or signal intelligence are indispensable for the military or the police. In the field of radio technology, SAGAX Communications has successfully applied for the subsidy, with its innovative solution they are working on some technology development for making border control more efficient and secure using already existing space based antenna technology and ground based software defined radio technology. The company works with the help of researchers and border security experts of the National University of Public Service, Hungary.
